Joining this firm in 2001 Jay brings more than 25 years of experience in architecture and design to his practice. Working on a diverse range of projects his practice blends both technical skill and an understanding of the conceptual nuances necessary to make spaces and buildings successful. Opportunities early in his career to work on civic and cultural institutions like the Ethel Wattis Kimbal Department of Visual Arts on the Weber State University Campus as well as homes like the Canyon Residence helped to define a practice that works across multiple typologies and landscapes.
His experience also includes project architect, project management, and construction management for the Gold LEED certified 35,000 SF Weber County Pleasant Valley Branch Library, and the award-winning Daybreak Zions Bank Branch. He is currently the Project Architect for the Zions Bank Financial Center in Jackson, Wyoming.
Jay earned his Master of Architecture in 2001 from the University of Utah. He became a partner at Pathe Studio Architects in 2012.

Cecilia Uriburu received her Master of Architecture at the University of Utah in 2003. Since joining Pathe Studio Architects in 2018, she has worked for a myriad of corporations on projects ranging from medical facilities to higher education institutions, corporate campuses, art, and science buildings.
Cecilia’s experience managing multi-phase projects has led her to develop a keen understanding of both the importance of new ground-up facilities and remodels for existing spaces, allowing them to better serve clients and individuals. This includes integrating landscape, architecture, and interior design to enhance holistic health and wellness in corporate environments.
Notably these principles were employed when Cecilia worked on the new O.C. Tanner Headquarters for Salt Lake City, in 2015. Her continued work with Western Governors University providing renovations for current facilities and new build designs further this insight on the multifaceted needs faced by large-scale corporations and institutions.
Cecilia became a partner at Pathe Studio Architects in 2018.
